I have two tanks, a Evo 13.5 and a 35g tank. In my evo I have a lot of hair algae growing which I have to manually remove every week or other week. In the 35g there isn't anything other than diatoms, basically no algae... I have a lawnmower blenny / coral beauty / throcus snails / hermits which I feel don't have enough food... would it be a bad idea to add algae from my evo to the 35 gallon as a food source? I know it grows really quickly but they might control it... or should I buy Gracilaria algae instead as food for them? Here's a pic of the evo so you can id the algae. Both tanks have been running for about 3 months. Btw I've tried nori but only the hermits eat it IF they find it. Thanks

no need to add any, they will find it. You could feed formula two if your worried for some reason

And You don't really want to add hair algae to a tank

I guess I’m worried about the blenny cause he never eats anything other than picking at rocks/sand, he won’t eat nori, I just ordered some omega one veggie pellets, we’ll see if he touches those. I’ve read other posts of them starving and refusing to eat after they took care of a nuisance algae problem.

I have an algae blenny who does nothing but pick at my rocks and is so fat he looks like he's pregnant. I would keep an eye on him, but they can do fine living off of the normal algae that grows on your glass and tank and occasionally picking at food you feed
