I just got my bottle of ammonia (not liquid) and it says to add before adding something like biospira. I'd already added bio spira. Do I need to wait a couple days to add ammonia? Should I just toss in a shrimp or ghost feed and not use ammonia except to test to see if cycle complete?

I have used the ghost feeding method on my last 2 tanks with success. Never tried dosing actual ammonia. On my second tank, I dosed bio-spira after the first week and had livestock in a week later.

I've done shrimp. Had wanted to try something a bit cleaner. Not looking to add anything for a month, although I have 2 fish who need to go in when ready. They are in a display refugium that is coming down and becoming a fish qt and in march I am going to get first fish for new tank to start QT.

Anyone know how long to wait to add ammonia or is it too late if I added the bacteria first

You can add the ammonia before or after.
