I have seen some people on here state that you should not add an anemone until the tank is older or has seasoned. Why is that? I have read and heard that anemones are a little more forgiving than corals with regards to water quality, lighting is just as good with a new tank (if not better depending on bulbs), anemones are not dependent on pod population so having them established is not a factor. So what does a seasoned tank offer an anemone that a newer tank does not? I am waiting on my 180 tank now and would like to add my anemones prior to corals so the anemones can hopefully settle where they want and will be less likely to start moving around and stinging my corals.
