My tank has been running for 6+ months and I just added some marine pure balls, I want to add some good bacteria to help out the tank. Can I do that or just let it grow on it’s own?
if I can, what bacteria can i use?

Some say it’s not needed, within around 20 days to a month the balls will be seeded with bacteria.

If you want you can buy a bottle bacteria such as Fritz, or microbacter7 but it’s not needed, may or may not help.

Ya some people like to add bacteria here and there. It won't hurt anything. I've never done it though (but I have a ton of LIVE rock)

Don’t waste your money. This hobby is expensive enough as is
Agreed. No guarantee that the bacteria you dump in will end up on the marine pure balls anyway, and your tank will make plenty of bacteria for feee. If you want to encourage bacteria growth, add some organic carbon. Look into vodka dosing. Cheaper and more likely to get you the results that you’re after.

I would just add more surface area for bacteria to expand and grow onto. I don't think adding bacteria will speed anything up.

Won’t hurt but might be a waste of money for you. I use MB7 and am at around 70 days into my system. I used dry rock so bacteria is vital for me to dose. If you used live rock, bacterial additives don’t make much sense unless you are having issues or are going to increase the bio load rapidly
