I have a 150gallon tank with a pair of clowns currently. They dont have a "home" in the tank, they just chill in the back corner as "their spot" I have another tank im tearing down that has a pair of clowns also. What would happen if I plop them into the same tank but opposite sides? Its about 5' long tank. I have their BTAs that they were hosting in the new tank already but they havent opened up more than a peek in 2 days.

I added a pair to my pair that’s been in my tank and turned out fine

I have had mixed experiences. Had four clowns in a tank that were fine then one day the dominant pair kicked out the other smaller two. They are in their own separate tank now.

I ended up siding with caution and sold one of the pairs. I had them in a fish trap and the other clowns would not leave them alone.
