Adding Corals - 'Ugly Phase'

I cycled my tank not too long ago and have 2 clowns - the diatoms are starting to show - do I need to wait until it completely clears up, and wait for other 'uglies' to show up and clear itself before adding any corals - such as: Zoas?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Stability is key when you're adding corals and keeping a reef tank. Keep an eye on maintaining consistent parameters & let the tank mature a little bit. Once you have the tank stable, then you can add what you'd like for the most part. Best of luck

Submit to your strong urge to add coral but buy one hardy non invasive zoa as your canary in the coalmine. Monitor it's progress for a month and base further stocking decisions on its success or failure. Always move slowly, observing closely.
