Hi all,

I would like to get my dKH down to 9-9.5 and pH up to 8.3.

Alk 11
pH Usually no higher than 7.95

Regardless of all other parameters (within limits for the most part)would it be okay to throw in calcium chloride into some kalk since my Alk and pH higher than desired?

Thanks,
A

Oh and just started tinkering with kalk in the ATO.

No, it is not, unless the kalkwasser is well below saturation.

Adding more calcium will limit the amount of calcium hydroxide that will dissolve.
