Adding Dry LifeRock (Carib Sea) to an established system?

Thinking of adding a few lbs of dry rock (Carib Sea Life Rock) to fill out my tank a bit more.

Tank is a ~40 gallon Red Sea max E170 that has been running about 3 months -no corals yet just a few fish.

I would be adding about 5-10lbs total (or roughly an additional 25% of the rock currently in the system). Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I know the liferock has a bacterial coating, but I can't foresee any major issues unless I'm overlooking something obvious?

Shouldn’t be any issue, maybe a few diatoms

You will most defiantly get Diatoms. I’ve added small to large rock a few times over the last few months. Yea.. My tank looks like doo doo

I have done that, not as many lbs as you are thinking, with no issues. My rock never grew diatoms but the sand did on original cycle. My new tank grew diatoms on the Marco and sand but nothing on the dry life rock.

Probably worth noting that I don't have the lights on yet, and I wont turn them on for about 3 or 4 more weeks (at which point I will start adding corals).
