Hey everyone, I have a 72 gallon tank with 80 pounds of live rock and the marinepure brick in the sump. I recently added about 5 pounds of dry rock in the tank to mount corals on.

will I see a diatom bloom?
will i see a nitrate spike?
any other changes I should expect to see?

Unfortunately yes
Have done the same of you and also red slimes apear in my tank
I use a balance kz but 3 months of problems also with sps that try to die at bases

Possibly. you already have a ton of cycled rock. adding a small amount of dry rock may not have a huge effect. it depends on how long you've had the tank set up and what's inside the dry rock.
