Adding dry rock to established nano?

I am getting a new mushroom/anemone box in the mail soon and would like to put some rubble rock in the bottom of it. Since I have a nano tank (22g) I do not have extra pieces sitting around in the sand, or a sump with any used as a natural filter. I do have some dry rock that has been sitting in a dry bucket for about 2 years now that I plan on breaking up a bit to add to the bottom of the anemone box. How would you guys go about curing this so I don't cause any nutrient spikes in my small tank? My plan was to use waterchange water from my tank and put the dry rock in there with a pump and let that go for a few weeks. Thoughts?

I've added dry rock to my sump with no issues, I did add it to my display once and it started growing algae on it. At that point I moved it into my sump. If you have an AIO you can put some rubble in a rear chamber, if you have a hang on the back filter drop some pieces in it.

I could be very wrong here, but I feel like adding a couple pieces of rock rubble isn't going to disturb your tank. I've not had any negative experiences with it.

Your plan is good. You should be able add small amounts of dry rock at a time to your tank without causing issues.

Ok cool! I'll probably just rinse it off thoroughly and add a few pieces in slowly
