Adding dry rock

I am about to transfer my sand and 100lbs of established live rock from a 50 to a 100 gal. I have 100lbs of new live sand in the 100 gal now. I bought 20 lbs of dry rock from Marco rocks. Can I add it to my new tank right away?

Rinse it real good and yes, you can add it.

there could be some die-off; organisms that died, but never finished decomposing before being dried out.
you have a lot of established rock to counteract, but do do you have anything sensitive in the new tank?

I was debating on adding two 4 pound shelf pieces of rock last week. I decided to put it in a 5 gallon bucket of saltwater just in case and see what happens. OMG the smell that came outta that bucket after 5 days. Wife made me take it out the house. I will always cycle my dry rocks. Glad I didn't put it in my tank even though I have over 150 lbs of rock.

I'd be hesitant on adding it. But my main question is what's the new 100lbs of live sand? Is it bagged sand that claims to be live?

I wouldn't sweat the rock as much as adding sand from a old tank... I always use new sand it's not worth the hassle IMHO.... The rocks shouldn't be a huge deal I have used Marco rocks for all my tanks... Never had a problem with ammonia or anything just the usual po4 leach here or there.... Hth

I would be very careful adding the dry rock. About 3 months ago I had my tank totaly crash when I added about 5 lbs of dry rock from BRS to my 28 gallon tank. Killed some fish, a shrimp, some SPS and ALL of my chalices!
