I have a six foot 165g tank. I have a mated 3 year old pair of Ocellaris Clowns that are currently hosting a frogspawn in another tank. I also have a younger pair, about 1.5", Ocellaris Snowflakes. They are in a third tank with a 1" Hippo Tang that thinks he's a Snowflake. I have several other LPS that could be hosted where both clown pairs would have a home if they chose. My question is should I add the tiny Hippo along with the four Clowns at the same time, or should I add him when he has added some size? My fear is if both pair of Clowns are hosting that they will pick on him. Being the size he is he may not stand a chance.

So there is currently no fish in the 165 gallon tank, correct? If so add all four at the same time. The clowns will have to re-establish territories anyways, and could care less about the tang. They'll be looking at each other for disputes.

I think he'll probably be fine in a tank that size.

I would be more concerned about the mated pair ocellaris taking out the other pair of clowns. IMO/E, the most aggressive fish is a spawning pair of clowns.

I'm planning on adding them all at the same time. They're in seperate tanks right now and none have every been in this tank. It's also six foot long. Adding them at the same time should be good I would think.

Adding them at the same time won't really change anything. Once a pair starts to spawn, they are not going to take too kindly to other mature clowns in that tank.
