Okay so I've currently had my 2 new fish in qurantine for a little over 2 weeks. Both fish came from my lfs who run copper in their tanks. The fish underwent 10 days of prazi pro and have been in new water for a few days.

My wife is getting annoyed by the QT so I was wondering would it be safe to add these fish to the DT.

Both are eating well and have shown no signs of issues in the past 2.5 weeks. My DT parameters are in check for the addition of new fish.

Would you get nagged at by your wife for the QT or just add them to the DT?

I personally don’t QT and just dump the fish into the tank. This has worked for the past 10 odd years for me.
I just stick to my current water change schedule after adding fish.

I will say though, all tanks are different and what works for me may not work for you.

I do weekly water changes. My tank is small. And I stay on top of my parameters. Wife has complained almost dialy for last few days now about an extra tank just sitting in our apartment. Thinking adding them probably is best move haha.

Definitely am lucky.
The way I’ve done it is by watching the fish in the store for Atleast 10 minutes (if not 30+) along with the other fish to see any signs of disease. If I see it’s 100% a healthy fish then I’ll take it.

My lfs is pretty reputable. Not really any negative reviews about sick fish. Obviously doesn't mean it's not possible, but I feel like buying from a reputable place lowers the risk a bit at least.

It really does lower the risk. Especially if you’re like me and want/have fish that are sensitive to certain medications.
I personally avoid buying from places that may not have the best health with their fish or coral.

What fish do you have?
It depends on which tank you mean. I have 2 different tanks - 1 SPS heavy tank and 1 Softie/LPS heavy tank.
Softie/LPS heavy 4’x2’x18”SPS heavy
3’x16”x1’
1x CBB *1x BSLW +
1x Magnificent Foxface +1x Black Clown Goby -
1x Twinspot Bristletooth Tang +1x Flaming Prawn Goby *
1x Radiant Wrasse +1x Yasha Goby -
1x Jade Wrasse -3x Pink Streak Wrasse *
1x Hybrid Flasher Wrasse -
1x Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse (Cebu) -
1x Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse (Indo) -
1x Naoko Fairy Wrasse -
1x Black Photon Clownfish -
1x Linear Blenny -
1x Yellow Watchman Goby -

I may be missing a couple from my 4’ tank though. As for what the symbols mean, here you go;
* = Risky with certain medication
+ = Not too bad with medication
- = Rather easy to get through QT

I’d keep them in qt. You don’t want to risk any disease making into the tank due to impatience. It pays off at the end of the day.
I took the risk and added them. I live in an apartment and my wife isn't fond of the QT on the dining room table. 2.5 weeks was the best I could get. They came from copper tanks at the lfs and then I ran prazi pro for 12 days.

Not perfect but fish are eating, poop is color of food, and theyre sleeping.
