If the tank is cycled, yes. It allll depends on if the tank is cycled or not (for me).Would you add a kole tang 24 hours after cycling with dr tims one and only?
24 hours after adding live bacteriaDepends on how fat your wallet is. Do you mean 24 hours after the tank has fully cycled or 24 hours after adding the bacteria for the first time?
If the tank is cycled, yes. It allll depends on if the tank is cycled or not (for me).
I mean also if I have something to feed the kole tang, etc.
So if reading 0 ammonia? All depends on whether the tank is cycled then.
It does not sound like you have followed the instructions to the end, so no, I would not add a tang.24 hours after adding live bacteria
So what would you suggest the next step is ?It does not sound like you have followed the instructions to the end, so no, I would not add a tang.
What type of ammonia do you add to feed the tank ? I have ammonia and nitrate test kits. I have added the dr tims live bacteria alreadyDid you put ammonia in the tank to feed the bacteria? Do you have any nitrates in the tank to confirm than ammonia has been processed to nitrate? My experience is that any additive will take at a minimum 4 or 5 days to begin processing the ammonia. Some are faster than others. There's a good thread on bacteria in a bottle on the forum you may want to read if you haven't already. Sorry, I don't have the link to it.
Not quite. Different people consider it differently, but generally it is about the tank being able to handle a certain amount of ammonia. For me, it is 2ppm of ammonia. So if reading 0 ammonia?
