It’s been going on the 7th week since I noticed ich in my tank. I took my fish out as soon as I noticed. Currently I have 3 clowns, sailfin tang, blenny, damsel, and a snowflake eel in a bug box sitting in the QT. Ich killed 3 of my fish. I talked to the company I bought the fish that got all my fish sick. They said they had ich in their freshwater system but didn’t have it in their saltwater tanks. All it takes is 1 drop of water with ich. So they could have used the same supplies clean the tanks or when someone buys fish the nets to catch the fish. Anyways long story short they said they would replace my fish that were killed. I lost 2 blue tanks and a diamond goby. I’ve gone through a lot of money and time trying to cure my fish. I might get a purple tang at the same time as these other 3 fish.

My question is am I okay with adding 4 of these fish into my QT at once with my other fish while my DT fallows? I don’t believe I will be getting large fish. Most likely going to be on the smaller side

I wouldn't. You run the risk of reinfecting your cured fish. Freshwater ich and marine ich are different. Freshwater ich won't survive in saltwater and marine ich won't survive in freshwater.

Good to know didn’t know that
Yup, that is why freshwater dips are effective for temporary relief of severe Marine ich.

Also, with freshwater ich you can turn the temp up to 86 to speed up the life cycle and add 1tbs table salt/5gallon to cure.

If I turn this up in my DT will this make it less time I gotta wait for my tank to fallow? Everyone says 76 days you gotta wait

Temp increase only works on freshwater. Marine ich would take temps high enough to kill everything else in the tank before it worked. Fallow for the DT and copper treatment for the fish is the only cure for marine ich.

Exactly what I’m doing currently!

Yeah, but if you add more fish to the QT then you will have to start over with the copper treatment or risk the new fish having ich or velvet and infecting everyone again.

Finish your fallow period and get your QT empty then get the new fish and start them in the QT.

Best of luck with the remainder of your fallow period.
