Adding fish

Hi everyone. Im new to reefing and am planning on adding 2 clownfish to my new cycled tank today. Is it best to just add 2 clowns or am i ok to add a couple of other fish too? Or maybe crabs or corals?

How old is the tank and how big? Best to add fish in small amounts otherwise it can overload the bio filter.

I totally agree. The clowns should be added as a pair and are great little fish if you're a beginner. And do wait on the coral. Let the tank stabilize and get comfortable with keeping the water quality. You won't regret it. Good luck'

I was hoping to go back to my lfs wednesday in 5 days and get something else?

Would it be ok to put 2 hermits in on wednesday?
And what about another pair of hardy fish

Add the hermits and or snails anytime. I'd wait another week or so to add more fish, let your system catch up to the new ammonia sources.

I don't like Hermits at all, sooner or later they get hungry and eat the snails or corals you have. I don't keep hermits, just a bunch of different kind of snails.

Sure, you can throw in sinking pellets for them to eat from time to time. They are scavengers and will pretty much eat anything on the bottom and rocks they can get ahold of.
