So. Summer break is fast approaching, and my marine bio class has lots of fish that will not be able to stay in there current tanks over that break. Instead having everybody take home the 30+ fish, I had an idea to put some in the reef tank, which requires much less maintenance than the other tanks. My only worry is that the current fish in the reef fish will react violently to the newcomers, considering they have had the tank to themselves for years. It's current inhabitants are: 2 blue sapphire damsels
1 blue damsel
2 ocelaris clowns
1 yellow tang (large)
1 cardinal (not really sure which species) (large)
1 bicolor blenny
1 matted filefish
1 spiny urchin (spine length 8in)
1 sea cucumber

A large amount of Green star polyps (basically a carpet covering several rocks, and still growing strong)
1 Leather coral
1 Trumpet oral
1 Grape coral

the fish I wish to add are:
2 sharpnose puffers (if possible, I believe that they may be aggressive towards each other)
2-3 dusky damsels
2 princess parrots
2 stoplight parrots

120 gallon, 20 gallon sump

We would also like to add a flame cardinal, a French grunt, and possibly a sailfin blenny. And there is actually 4 duskys.

I will also say that there is some kind of mystery fish in there. It has literally been seen only three times within the past year (this tank is several years old, and none of the teachers/students who stocked it are here or available). The last account all that was seen was a white fish that was gone in a flash as soon as the student approached.

well, IMO, your tank is not big enough for all these fish long term...the parrot fishes only will get at least 1 ft in size....
the puffers will secret a deadly toxin to the tank if threatened so with caution.

How long will it take for the parrots to get that big (mostly regarding the stoplights, we have since decided that the princesses wont be added). And the puffers have been fine so far, so no worries yet(they are actually quite fond of biting fingers whenever they can). We are currently trying to get more funds for the marine bio program, so we can house these fish better long term. And there is not a way for us to get rid of the fish either, as our administrators have made it pretty clear that these fish have to last awhile, so what can we do long term to better accommodate them?

well, most fish grow to the size of their environment, but I would think by 1yr it would be a good size.
