I have a 40 gallon salt, basic tank nothing fancy, I have a chocolate chip starfish, a serchant major which is about 4.5inz long, one clown, one domino damsel, blue/black damsel. I need color what would you guys recommend me to put in the tank that won't get eatin.

I would be surprised if a new fish would have a chance against what appears to be the 3 mature fish you currently have and add in the Domino Damsel. Maybe in a larger tank, I actually a little surprised it working out now. Honestly I can not think of a fish would fit in with the group you currently have.
If the tank is stable in the water chemistry department you could add a BTA for color. You might not have the lighting for corals and the chocolate chip is not reef safe so again your options are limited.

Yea I had the serchant since I started the tank along with the clown. Had two of those but one disappeared. The 3 stripe and domino I've had for more then a year maybe longer. I had a yellow tang in there but took it out to put in my big tank and I'm thinking of taking the starfish out and put him in the big tank...

As @Tahoe61 mentioned, finding a fish that will survive that group will be difficult.

If you have the conditions for it, look into a carpet anemone. They get big, are colorful, and dominoe damsels host in them.
