Hey I thought about adding a medium size blue tang and green wrassle to my 90 gallon tank. I already have some smaller fish in the tank. I was wondering would the bigger fish eat the smaller ones?

The bigger fish will not eat the smaller ones but a 90g is too small for for a blue tang.

Hi

The wrasse and tang should be fine. It would help if you say what is already in the tank also.

Size of fish usually is not a predictor of who will eat who. It relies more on compatibility. Liveaquaria has a compatibility chart if you ever wonder who plays nicely with who.

Technically the blue tank can be kept in a 90 if well cared for and given room to swim. Ideally the should be in at least a 180 gallon 6 foot long tank. They can get big and need room to swim and grow. You can rehome him when his size increases.

What is the size of the green wrasse and what other livestock do you have? Green wrasses can be aggressive, so even if they don't eat the other fish they can still be a problem, and green wrasses WILL eat inverts.

Blue tangs need more space than what is afforded them in a 90g.
