I would like to add 1/2" flow monitors to the outputs of my manifold. I have three 1/2" outputs, that are tee'd off of a 1" line. Each output leads to a 1/2" gate valve and I'm not sure if I should place the flow sensor before the gate valve or after. I would appreciate any advice on the placement of the sensors.

I would place after. It will give you the reading of flow after the gate and will allow you to dial in the gate valve for your desired flow rate.

Thanks @CC13. I was thinking of that would be the best placement , and I guess I was just looking for confirmation before I glue everything up.

Your initial logic was correct. I would rather know what my flow is after the gate so I can dial it in as best as possible.

Don't think it matters. Flow before and after the gate valve will be the same. What you do want with these flow meters, is to avoid water turbulence within the pipe. That might actually mean before is better.
