Ok sometimes a picture is wroth a lot more then a long winded explanation. This is the basic plan stuff should arrive next week. Other then drawing lessons I am up for any suggestions, might be something I have not thought of before, or maybe someone as done this kind of thing before. This might be overkill for 32 gallon, but I want to strave out some bad pests.

I don't know what pieces you may already have, if any, but I'd consider a plain cube tank instead and instead of all that maybe run a Tunze Comline® Reefpack 250 ($213):

If you want you wanted to upgrade the skimmer, you can also build your own kit and just order the 9004 DC skimmer and 3162 Filter separately.

The filter module has space inside for your heater, ATO sensor as well as chemical or mechanical filter media.

Super simple, and each module only takes up about 4"x4" of tank space.

Just a fast update everything worked out great. Only mod I had to do was cut a small tab on one of the openings so the lid could open and close.
