Adding gfo

I am going to add a gfo to my tank this week. How much should i add so my corals wont get hurt.

Depends on your tank size. Roughly 1 tablespoon per 4 gallons to start.

I would start with half of what BRS advises and slowly add more over the next 1-2 weeks pending the response of your corals. I have found adding too much GFO at once stresses my corals especially Acans. I'd use the same technique when changing out spent GFO.

Be very careful using GFO. It can strip your water very quickly. Why are you wanting to use it in the first place?

Oh okay. Brs says to use 11 tablespoons so im going to start with about 5.5 that way i dont stress them out
