Adding instant ocean epoxy putty in stocked tank

So I was dumb and didnt use epoxy to holy my rockwork together before I filled cycled and stocked my new build. Can I add instant ocean epoxy with no problems? Will it make my skimmer go crazy?

Yes you can use it without hurting anything, but yes it will also make your skimmer go crazy.

At least a few hours. It probably depends on the amount

I have read about an issue using epoxy and superglue together which affected clowns fyi. Could just be a rumor.

I think it's done this morning. My skimmer was filling like 10% per hour I woke up and it's still not full which leads me to beleive its calmed down

It probably has. Mine usually goes crazy for 3-4 hours.. sometimes a bit longer if I don't actually remove any of the skimmate

My techinique now is too shut down the skimmer for 4 hours, then turn it back on and remove the first cup full of skimmate. After that its usually good. If I havent tried 3 hours, but I know that after 2 hours it immediately overflows
