I have a nano reef tank with two clownfish, one tang and one butterfly. The tank parameters have been stable for a long time now, and has artificial rock in it at the moment.

I have read several different - and sometimes conflicting - articles on adding live rock and coral to a tank without removing the fish to a Q tank first.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience actually adding cured live rock (and subsequently coral) to an established tank without starting from scratch and cycling the tank again, and what issues they have had (if any).

It’s very possibly to add cured and cycled rock to your aquarium. But it must be cycled. At most adding the rock later would cause a mini cycle in your DT. Is the cured rock brough from a fish store? If so I would recommend rodi rinse and cycle separately to ensure no unwanted customers are there.
