Hi! i was going to go out later and get more live rock for my tank because the rocks are live and nothing on them will be dead i can just add it right to the tank right? i am not adding too much just some to make the design better for shrimp

What is currently in your tank as far as live stock? you might experience a cycle if you do that because of die off. I would personally put the live rocks in a bucket or some kind of water tight container for a few weeks with a powerhead and a heater, so that if they do cause a cycle, it doesn't happen in your tank.

For what it's worth, I added about 40 pounds of established live rock to my tank to help with fighting dinos and had 0 issues. I have a 260 gallon tank which had a ton of live rock to begin with, so that might have helped avoid any cycle.

Depends on if the rock is truly dead rock with no organics on it. If it is dead rock with no organics I would add it with 0 issue.

If it does have organics on it, I would do as above.

I've added 30 pounds of true dead rock to my 5 year old 80g cube with no problems.
