adding lyretails females to existing anthias

i purchased 3 lyretail anthias a while ago, 2 female and a male, one female never made it out of QT. the current male and female are doing great in the DT. would buying another 3 females be advisable or not? or should i just add other species if i want more anthias? i actual like the look of the female more than my male

Not only can you add more females, but you should, that way the males badgering is spread around instead of that lone female taking it all.
You can still add other anthia species too as long as space and bioload can handle more

As above, the more females the less the male will pick on an individual one. In the wild anthias groups are a little fluid with the male patrolling an area and the females moving in and out of it. I think for lyretail the male tries to keep 10-12 females in its territory.
When buying them i wouldn't get the biggest female on offer as its more likely to challenge the existing male in time.
