I have a Hydor seltz l30, it uses suction cups. The cups are crap and the pump keeps falling off the wall. The pump attaches to a plastic plate...can I epoxy a jebao magnet from a non working pump to this and use it? I don’t know if the magnet would interfere with the way the pump runs? Any other reason this may not work?

It’s a decent pump for the small tank I have up right now and will only be in use for a couple more months so I would rather not buy new unless required.

As a side note, I have a Hydor Koralia 425 in the same tank. While the 425 is nice and small and sleek, it barely moves any water. The seltz is bigger and bulky but it really moves much more water. The seltz is supposed to be a 320 gph while the Koralia is 425...don’t know if I have a bad 425 pump or not. I’m bummed...

There should be no problem with gluing a magnet to the pump. I did the same thing for a HOB skimmer in my QT tank with no problem I’d just use super glue gell it sets fast and my magnets have stays on without issue for about a year now.
