Hi,

I'm looking at a pair of black snowflakes.
I've already got a pair of common, they only ever swim in the back right corner of my tank they literally spend all the time hiding in the corner.
Would it be wise to add another pair to the tank ?

Tank is 1000 L

I think it can work OK in a tank that big. You might keep the new clowns in a breeder box on the opposite side of the tank from your current clowns in hopes that they decide to stay there when you let them loose.

I'm hoping it will I'd like to actually see the clowns swim around a bit that would be nice

Some clowns do and some don't. I've had some of each.

hi ,best wishes, should be ok,if probs, come back for help ;)

At one point I had 5 clowns. Two pair and one odd man out! The unpaired one lasted a month. The other 2 pair did OK for months but then I lost a male and only a week later the related female. But that was in a 75g hexagon tank.

this pic is exception ,all in harem since 2/20,no probs no losses no aggresion, but prob will be as i dwindle pairs out;)

Keeping lots of juveniles is different than keeping multiple mated pairs.

Well I think I'll give it a try the tank is relatively large and has plenty of rockwork for them and I think the snowflakes look nicer than my commons

Hopefully all will be well I'll keep you all posted
