I have a reefer 425 with real reef rock from previous reefer 250. I would like to increase amount of rock by adding dry real reef rock. Anything I should be aware of? Can I just add it ?

Thanks
Tony

Depends on the dry rock itself. A few brands you have to cure and there is another you don't. For example, I bought dry rock off of amazon for an amazing price and it came from a fresh water lake.. It needed NO curing and is working out great.

What one have you looked at?

If you get something like clean the rock from Reefcleaners you can add it straight away. The only negative is that pure clean rock is a magnet for pest algae as it has no life on it so expect that white rock to turn green fairly fast.
