Adding more wrasses to 550?

Wrasse experts!
What are my chances lf success to add more wrasses to my 550G with a melanurus and a sixline? Particularly fairy wrasses or leopard wrasses?
Also to make things complicated- I have very thin layer of sand bed.

How many and what types of wrasses do you already have? The melanarus and leopard wrasses will need a thicker sandbed.

Just the two mentioned above- melanurus and sixline. And so far they’ve done just fine without sandbed. (Though I know it isn’t ideal, they both previously lived in bare bottom tanks and were used to sleeping in coral branches/rock crevices

I wouldn’t add any leopard without a deep sand bed as they will stress out much easier then a Halichoeres will meaning the chances of them having a spasm and swimming into the glass floor is higher.
As with fairy wrasses, I have found if a six line is going to be aggressive it will be to these guys. If you REALLY want a fairy wrasse or another wrasse, get one of the aggressive guys. I.E. Ones from the Scottorum complex.

I've never seen my sixline bury in the substrate - he's always out on patrol. The melanarus loves his sand bed.

Six lines aren’t a sand sleeping wrasse, they’re a cave dweller and sleep in crevices they find in the rockwork.
