Hi everyone! I joined back in 2019 but this is my first time starting a thread here in R2R.
The new frag tank:
A 20G -ish acrylic tank, will be custom built with these dimensions 22L x 18D x 12H.
Bellow is a drawing I made for the builder.
I am waiting on the tank at the moment and last night I ordered the lights for it. I found them on ebay. They that seem to be the knock-off version of orphek's OR-2 and I got two for the same cost of one original. I will give them a try and hopefully it doesn't back fire on me. Stay tuned for reviews!
As far as my filtration goes, I want to plumb it into my display tank to avoid having to cycle the frag tank. Also I had a 20G when I first got in the hobby, and I saw first hand how any little change in water chemistry takes a greater toll on small tanks, so I want to increase the overall volume of the system by joining both tanks and that will hopefully help keep the frags healthier.
I currently have a 90G Display and this is what I have for filtration and return:
As far as the stand goes, I will build my own but I will wait until I have the tank to get started on that and I will try to match the look of the stand for the 90G, since they are going side-by-side.

- AquaMaxx ConeS Q-2 Skimmer
- AquaMaxx Media Reactor turned Algae Reactor
- Sicce Return pump
