I am running a high Ca/Alk system.

my Alk is pretty stable at 10.1, and i try to keep my calcium at around 520 or so. I slowly increased from the typical 8.2 over a period of two months, and everyone responded well, and are growing much faster than they were previously, which i am very happy with.

My question is, how do i add/acclimate new sps corals which are accustomed to typical sea water levels? i cant see a 45min -2hr acclimation period being good enough... any ideas?

No difference.
2hrs is too long.
IMO , coral acclimation is mostly ph and ammonia built up in the bag.

Then, placing he coral in a Lower light area of the tank or qt slows the metabolism as the coral adjusts both to the basic chemistry but the allepothy of the specific system it’s going in too.

So you don’t think the near instant move from 8.2 to 10.1 alk will stress out a new acro colony?

Not of the ph is close no.

I won’t acclimate my coral going from one tank to another

Also . Ime , some acros will stress going from the bottom of the tank to the middle. That’s just a minor ligh move and flow , but it’ll change compr for a week.
Makes sense when you think about that’s how the animal eats and breaths.

So it’s much more complex than just alk. That’s simply the amount of a mineral in the water.

Yeah, i try to keep my ph as stable as possible too, its been 8.1 forever. so that kinds puts me at ease. I would start any new coral low and possibly shaded at first, and slowly acclimate them to the light, just wasn't too sure about the chemical levels.

Thanks!
