I have a 90gal I just set up. I upgraded and pulled the 3 fish, rocks, and some sand from my established 20gal. I am running a protein skimmer and refugium on the 90. Amomonia, nitrate, nitrite all read 0 and have been for the last 2 weeks since i put it together. Actually nitrate went up for a second a little then right back down to 0. Yesterday i got a GREAT deal on an established 60gal with 60lbs of live rock covered in caroline algae. I put the rock in my tank and some of the sand in my refugium. The tank came with 5 fish and I added 1 to the 90gal and the rest went into my 20gal. This was an amazing looking professionally maintained tank i purchased. When can I add the other fish? I assume because I just m9ved everything to my 90 from 2 established tanks I should be fine. I have 130-140 pounds of live rock in the tank and a lot of sand.

You'll still see a cycle, albeit probably less than if you started from scratch. There's no way to know for sure, but I would do things slowly, do frequent water changes, etc.

Nothing good happens in this hobby fast. This especially sucks for me as I have ZERO patience..

Keep testing, if you don't see ammonia or nitrate in the next few days you should be good to go.

Will do. Thanks. But just has tomove over 2 fishthis morning because my 20 gal couldn't handle2 everything and ammonia started to spike.

A large water change would have probably sufficed too. Just keep up on them as needed. Moving fish is just as stressful as some ammonia exposure in many cases

Very true. What is the best practices when adding new fish to a tank. 1 per month 1 per week? What do you all recommend?
