I have a 65 gallon QT tank set up with 3 tangs and a butterfly due to a velvet outbreak in my DT. I’m wondering if I can add new fish to the QT while my DT is fallow. Or would I have to start the timer over for the 4 fish already occupying the QT. I’m using cupermine to treat the fish and I slowly raise the level. So is bad to add fish into the tank with copper at full strength?

You would have to start the timer over I'm afraid. Adding fish to full strength copper is not recommended. I use copper power and add the fish to a 1 ppm level and raise it to 2 ppm. Copper is already toxic, so you do not want to add fish to a higher level of copper. When using cupramine I started at 0 ppm.
