Hi everyone, I'm going to take the advice of placing a small chunk of live rock on top of the existing rock where my pulsing Xenia is growing out of control, in hopes of a growing onto the new rock which I can remove when the Xenia grows onto it.

If I got a little chunk of live rock from my LF S can I just add it directly to the tank or will it start a new cycle? I don't have a rock in the tank that I could place on it so I would have to add a new chunk.

I just don't want my existing livestock being harmed.

6gallon nano reef, all going well- what a small chunk of live rock affect existing life?

Thanks!

It might start a new cycle. I'd be really careful with a tank that small.

Thanks guys- that was my impulse. Nothing's that easy, right? :)
