How much is everyone adding to the top off water so they aren't shocking the system with it?

Sorry to bring this up again randy, just curious what the time period is for lanthanum chloride and phosphates to stay bonded?

There isn't really a "time" in which they will stay bonded. The product, lanthanum phosphate or lanthanum carbonate with incorporated phosphate is a mineral and will be stable unless the conditions change. One possible concern is low pH in a sand bed or similar low flow place, where it might redissolve.

Gotcha, so that's why it is recommended to put it in a filter sock. I'm almost done with my bottle, and going to switch back over to GFO. Just want to be sure I understand everything! I wish I was 1/10th as smart as you!
