Adding pods to a sump

Hey guys just recently set up a 30 gal sump for my 55, wanted to add some pods to the sump, i have chaeto in my refugium, is that enough for them to eat? Will i have to dose anything?

pods do not eat chaeto, they reside in it. Baby pods need phytoplankton while adult pods will eat detritus. I dose once a week or 2 some phyto

That should be enough for them to eat but I also I dose phytoplankton in my tank just to be safe
