Adding pods to a tank and refugium

If you already have pods in a cpr aquafuge2 refugium do you need to turn the pump off to the refugium to add a bag into the tank because I know that your supposed to turn the pumps off but when you turn the pump off on the refugium it drains it and theirs pods in there so what should I do when I add a bag to the tank for a mandarin

Just add them in your tank , leave the return pump on but turn wave pumps off.
How big is this tank?

It's just a 55 gallon tank but I'm about to setup a 125 gallon tank just gotta get all the stuff before I set it up but just turn the pumps off and the skimmer and that's good and if I'm adding more pods to the refugium just let everything run and if some go in the tank then they do because I'm gonna order some more pods to add to the refugium and to the tank to this week

Make sure you add them when lights off so fish don't feed on the way down lol
