so after trying the natural way of raising no3, I’m still 0-0.25 I want to raise it to about 3-5ppm. I purchased kno3 from green leaf Aquariums with there 500 ml bottles. My system is 120 gallon with 25 gallons of sump water. My phosphates are .04.

How much do I mix in the 500 ml bottle and what should I dose per day. I tried the calculator but I’m a bit confused.

when dosing KNO3 you also have to keep an eye on your K! Next time look for NaNO3

@Dr. Reef might be able to help out with the amount needed

Also, make sure you add the stock solution in small dosages and spread them apart. Adding it too quickly could result in a cyano bloom.
Dilute it really well, that way it will be easier for you to make incremental changes in the long run.

Calculator link mentioned above will help you to find the right amount.
I personally don't use potassium nitrate because of chances of overdosing potassium.
K is about 380 ppm while sodium is about 10561 ppm.

I use kno3 powder.
40gram kno3 mixed with 0.5liter water.

1ml dosing will increase no3 with 0.5ppm for 100liters.
