Hey there,
Im at day 21 on Biocube 32; 28lbs live rock and only chemipure blue with filter floss in rear. all levels are good... planning on first water change at 30 days. Do you recommend adding Purigen at that point? adding Chaeto in rear fuge?

I have a small clean up crew and 2 small clowns.

thanks in advance!

I love Purigen, you can add it whenever. Only thing I'll recommend is if you're using more than one packet to not change them both at the same time. Also it's worth just buying a new one when you do than trying to bleach it and neutralize after.
Also a side note, Chemipure blue contains an organic adsorption resin that's basically Purigen already, but you end up changing it out because activated carbon really only lasts a couple weeks in a reef system.
Anyway. Sorry for the long answer, yes you can add Purigen (:

Purigen is microporous and can be used to clarify your aquarium by straining your water threw the small pores. In addition, adding purigen is the same as adding surface area for bacteria to populate on. Think of it as disposable dry rock/sand.

Since i have your "ear" lol

Im also having trouble placing wave pumps...
I have 2 Koralia 425gph. one placed near bottom(on overflow side) facing across the back and one near top (on overflow side) facing slightly in towards center.I had some sand blowing on bottom so had to adjust slightly up...all this to prep for some corals and keep waste from accumulating

Plus of course the return flow facing straight and slightly upward....

any thoughts on placement?...32 Bio cube
