So I want to add reef brite all blue xho's to my geissman metal halide and t5 fixture. Will the xho fry my sps and do I need to light acclimate. How many hours can I keep the reef brite xho on, do I need a dimmer for the xho. I am looking for a little extra color pizazz but do you think I am going to have a goofy black light glow to the tank. Thanks in advance for the input

I added these to my fixture and didn't fry anything. They don't have lenses on these LEDs so they don't tend to laser-beam corals to death. I did raise my fixture up though.

What you can do is not aim them directly at the corals, you can swivel the XHO's to aim indirectly.

Reef brite blue xho's are awesome!! I just got the reef brite mh/xho led combo really looking forward to this fixture.

Let me know how you like the hybrid! I love mine! I couldn't find anyone else that has tried them out lol there def worth the money! And the twinarc bulb is just amazing

And to the op I would def add an xho you will love it! And there new dimmer is pretty sweet to works great so I'd look into that so u can acclimate even better

I will def keep you posted I fired up the unit just to check it out and wow!! I got the 36" mh/led combo to go over my 120g...I'll have a build thread soon. I was a bit hesitant without seeing many reviews, but I have used the xho strip and it is a great light very deep blue amazing color pop!

Sweet! Ya I had to try it out man and I really think we should spread the word to others that haven't seen it because it's an amazing fixture! I have the 250 Watt halide with 15 inch xho's over my 35 cube but I'm upgrading to a custom 36x24x18 soon so ill have another build thread coming to!

Didnt mean to hijack the thread or anything just good to see someone else that got the light haha

Awesome!! Yeah I can't believe others haven't jumped on board, I was planning to put the 15in over my 93cube...there's a guy on you tube with one over the 93 and it looks awesome! I am hoping to get the growth of mh with the color pop of the LEDs this will be a sps dominant tank. Let's see how the sps do...

Sorry for the hijack..all done now

Ya man I saw that video the spread was great over that 90,my tank will be sps dominated again also, I'll keep an eye out for your build thread! And to the op now that I think about it you may not need to acclimate the coral to much to the xho's because they don't use lenses like one of the above posts stated, but they are powerful still and wouldn't hurt to acclimate
