Can you add dry rock to an established aquarium? Or in my case a predominately established (6weeks ) without nitrates/phosphates all peramiters are wnl.

The tank was established just moved.

If the new dry live has been uncured and not acid treated it could release trapped in phosphates and get hair algae.
That Real Reef rock could be an good option.

I know nothing about what I talk about here! But we bought an aquarium that had been set up and he pressure washed the rock and let it dry. I figured just stick it in and wait for tank to cycle. We ended up with the worse case of hair algae I have ever seen. I almost cried. Finally got it all picked off and cleaned and the rock is great. Not sure I want to go thru that again!
