Tank is 53G gallon (36x18 x20). Tank mates are 3" yellowhead jaw, 2" pink streaked wrasse, 3.5" Timor wrasse, 2.5" Mccoskers. The tank is peaceful outside the wrasses harmlessly fussing with each other briefly here and there.

I want to add two fish after QT. For sure a tail spot blenny and perhaps Royal gramma or black cap basslet but I am concerned about either basslet's aggression toward PSW and or jawfish and blenny

Should I be? I prefer the BCB over the RG but thought the RG might be better due to less aggression and smaller size. I read RG are peaceful but then I also read they can be pretty aggressive.

Any advice or other recommendations, but nothing more than 3"'s or so? I have inverts.

Thank you!

I would be more concerned with mixing the basslets. Since the jaw fish and basslets occupy different parts of the tank it should be ok.

I've kept both and of the two, the Royal Gramma was a little less defensive of his hidey hole. They also seem to grow a little slower and stay a little smaller (at least mine did). Neither was really aggressive but the Black Cap will definitely defend his territory.

It would be either the BC or the RG, not both

That's much better. Jaw live in a burrow basslets live in the rocks and tend to be in the middle water collumn. You should be fine
