No sump but thabks for the replyIf you have a sump just slowly add a little bit in and over s few days it should be up where you want it
What's a refractometer?Do not add salt directly to your tank!!
I am looking for a calculator --I'll post it here--. You want to raise salinity slowly, otherwise you could really stress your fish. It's best to do it with water changes and slowly. Always checking as you go and using a refractometer with calibration fluid is highly recommended. It will get you more accurate results and using the calibration fluid will help you be more consistent.
I've done this with no problem when my SG gets too low.another way is to top off with salt water instead of RO water for a few days that will bring it up slow

Ohh okay thanks. Yeah I have a hydrometer right now.A refractometer is for measuring salinity and is more accurate that a hydrometer.
