Adding sand and moving, lots of questions!

Hi! so i have a few questions about things.

first, i'm moving in about a month and a half and I'm very nervous to move the tank. i'm not moving far, so sny advice for a short distance move is appreciated.

second, i want to add more sand, my sandbed is way too shallow and it's thinned out over the years.

so my main questions are-

when i move, should i rinse my old sandbed or leave it be?

should i wait to add new sand until i move, or do it now so it can get in tune with my tank?

should i add the new sand on top of the old sand, or mix them together?

any wisdom is appreciated!!
