Adding sand now or later?

I'm still in the process of gathering parts for my marine x60.2 and I got the caribsea arognate live sand yesterday. And I was wondering if I can add the sand inside the tank now, or do I have to wait till I fill the tank? Or do I kill the bacteria if I add it now and wait to fill it later? Or it doesn't matter?

If you plan to utilize the "live bacteria" aspect, I'd wait until you fill the tank and start cycling. Otherwise yes, you'll probably lose the bacterial benefit.
