My sand arrived from Chewy, Pink Somoa sand, live from Carib-Sea. My sump is not set to arrive until Monday or Tuesday, I was wondering If I could at least get the sand in and the non-live base rock set in preparations for the arrival of the sump and then get water, started? The sand would sit in a couple gallons of saltwater I can mix it to let it all sit for a few days. Is this okay? Anyone ever had experience with this?

You can but ideally you want to fill tank and have flow running to provide oxygen and I believe this is live version with aragamilk?
