Adding Sand While Cycling

Hi guys! I have been cycling my tank now for almost 2.5 weeks now. I am wanting to add more sand to my tank because i am planning on getting a goby/pistol shrimp combo and i dont feel like i have enough for them with their digging habits. Is it ok to do this while it is still cycling? Should I wait until its finished? I have 10 gallons of RO water to wash the sand before putting it in. What i am planning on doing is washing then siphoning out the water, repeat until i see very little cloudiness. Any suggestions and help here would be appreciated!

If going to add more sand I would do it asap. It will not effect the cycle.

Agreed with @Jekyl, just chuck more sand in now, won't affect the cycle.
