I'm new to the hobby and new to this forum. I have a 75 gallon reef setup with a 34 gallon sump. I've had it up and running for a month and I decided that I could use some more sand. What is the easiest or best way to add sand to an already set up system? I don't want to make a mess. I have 2 clown fish, 2 yellow tail damsels plus some inverts. I used Carib Sea Fiji Pink live sand and will be adding more of that.

As long as you aren't capping off dirty sand with new it's ok to add some via bags you dump out underwater slowly. The new sand should be rinsed so thoroughly before adding that it cannot cloud whatsoever. Not only does rinsing leave all necessary filtration bacteria still stuck to the grains, but the sand added didn't need bacteria anyway. Rinse all silt
