Adding seachem matrix to nuvo 10?

I was thinking about adding a bag (250ml) of matrix to my nuvo’s second chamber (right now I use chemipure nano and floss plus live rock and sand in the display). Is there any disadvantage to doing this? Would I risk starving the system or leaching minerals into the tank (like I’ve heard marine pure can do?) Do I need to worry about flow in the second chamber if I do this? Basically are there any cons? Is not really worth adding?

From everything I have read and in my experience, it is pretty worthless to add extra media like this. There are applications where it is useful, but I don't think it will benefit in your situation.
